This is the town of COPÁN RUINAS, Honduras, just a few miles from the Guatemalan border. (The ruins are just called "Copán". Go figure.) Copán Ruinas is a much smaller, scaled-down version of Antigua and a tourist destination. Upon arrival we browsed the little museum - which was actually quite interesting - which gave us a good knowledge base for our tour the next day. Our hotel is in view straight ahead at corner of the central park.
