There is no electricity in the park. The Inn where we stayed has a generator that they run for about an hour in the morning and from 6:00 to 10:00 in the evening. That's it. As we knew this ahead of time, we brought not only several flashlights and candles but also a little lantern for the room. Phone service is iffy (when there is power) and cell phones don't work at all. As nights were cool we slept with the windows open. Around 11:00 each night we heard what sounded like a choir practicing - a complex sound going up and down - it was the nearby jaguars marking their territory, we were told.
