TEMPLE of the INSCRIPTIONS, Temple VI, so named as it is one of the few buildings at Tikal that has carvings and hieroglyphics on it. This temple is located off the beaten path and close to a mile from any other major complex. Expecting great carvings like at Copán, we were disappointed at this showing. The temple with it's roofcomb is visible. Note the scrolly carving above the doorway . . .
