. . . TEMPLE I, Temple of the Grand Jaguar, perhaps the most photographed structure here. It was built to honor - and bury - King Moon Double Comb, and was erected over his tomb by his son. The king's tomb included hundreds of jade objects, carved bone, pearls and stingray spines used for ritualistic bloodletting. Today visitors are not allowed to climb this pyramid after a few people toppled to their deaths . . .
